Mr. Cox is a veteran professional and brings over 30 years of training, education, experience and an impressive record of success to his clients.

 

He is one of only 75 Certified Legal Investigators in the United States.

The National Association of Legal Investigators (NALI) confers the designation only upon those who meet professional requirements and who successfully pass stringent written and oral examinations.  The designation, Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) is a most honored and sought-after credential.  Once conferred, CLI’s must advance their professional careers by earning continuing educational credits and by maintaining the high standards of the CLI program.

 

Mr. Cox has served as the lead investigator for many high profile criminal & civil cases including the defense of former WorldCom Chief Financial Officer Scott D. Sullivan with nationally renowned criminal defense attorney, Roy Black and his defense team.

 

In 2006 - 2007, as the defense team investigator in the nationally publicized case, State of Tennessee vs. Mary  Carol Winkler  in Selmer, Tennessee, Mr. Cox helped achieve a verdict of voluntary manslaughter from the original charge of first degree capital murder.  Mrs. Winkler was sentenced to the minimum three years and to serve a total of 210 days of that sentence and the balance on probation.

Mr. Cox is a published author and respected presenter of investigative topics in National and State professional publications and training conferences.

 

In 2009 and 2010 Mr. Cox was elected by his peers to serve as Assistant National Director of the National Association of Legal Investigators.

 

 In June 2007 and 2008, he was elected by his peers to serve as Director-Region IV of NALI. He was appointed to six consecutive terms as National Chairperson of Continuing Education for the association.

 

He complies with stringent continuing education requirements to maintain his licensing and National Certifications as a  Certified Legal Investigator (CLI) & Certified Fraud Consultant (CFC).

Mr. Cox is the former Staff Legal Investigator for the respected Farese Law Firm of Mississippi, District Attorney's Criminal Investigator, Corporate Security Coordinator  for Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation an international pharmaceutical company, Agent of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, Deputy Sheriff and Police Officer. He has successfully testified in courts throughout Mississippi and other jurisdictions.
